It’s a holiday weekend and most of us will be partaking in a drink or few. I’m headed to Savannah for a day on the water, and after a long day on the boat I sometimes like a Salty Dog or a Greyhound back at the house. There is something nostalgic for me and these grapefruit cocktails. Probably from stealing sips from my parent’s drinks as a kid…

The Salty Dog (made with gin)

2 oz gin

4 oz grapefruit juice

salt for rimming

lemon or lime wedge for garnish

Pink Grapefruit Greyhound (made with vodka)

2 oz vodka

4 oz grapefruit juice
