MAKING A LIST

Today I celebrate my birthday with tacos and margaritas. I’ll probably reflect on the past year, and maybe ponder the next. I’ll wonder what will change, where I will go, who and what I’ll see…and wake up with a hangover tomorrow.

Recently at a friend’s house stuck to her fridge was a bucket list for her 30th year. There were a few travel plans and volunteer goals crossed off, a dance lesson still unfulfilled and the always-present stop smoking was on the list. We looked over each goal, written many months ago, and had a chuckle as she puffed her cigarette.

I liked the idea and thought I’d do it for myself this year. Geoff and I are going to San Francisco to celebrate my birthday over Halloween weekend, and a few things on my list will definitely get crossed off during the trip. I’ll share when I get it all written up and we’ll see what comes to fruition over the next 365 days.
