HIP HIP HOORAY! BABY SHOWER

babyshower_asensiblehabit

I have several besties having babies! The first lady up is my friend Kate (due any day now – correction, the baby is here!) and a few weeks ago we had her baby shower. We kept it simple with fresh flowers, big balloons, little toy animals and vintage blocks. I managed to snap a few photos as guest were arriving, but as things got going I missed the Ice Cream Sundae Bar we had set up. It was delicious and served in cute little red and white polka dot cups with wooden spoons.

radishes with salted butter, rosemary popcorn, fruit cups and a pickle platter
Oh, and we can’t forget the mom-to-be’s favorite – skewered chicken nuggets with pickles.

mimosabarFor the mimosa bar we went with peach juice, pear juice and fresh grapefruit.
Raspberries and fresh mint for garnishing.

redballoonsThe giant red balloons were definitely my favorite part, and I want to have them around all the time.
