ON THE BAR * TAZO PEACH GREEN TEA & VODKA
This weekend I experimented with mixing tea cocktails using
Tazo Peachy Green Tea and vodka.
Place tea bag in glass jar and add about a 1/2 cup boiling water. Let steep 4 minutes. Discard tea bag. Place two sliced peaches and tbsp of honey in your shaker (or another glass), and mash with muddler or handle of wooden spoon until slightly bruised. Pour in about one part vodka and two parts tea – adjust to your liking. Serve two ways: add ice, shake, and pour for straight up or serve over ice.
Serve this light and refreshing cocktail chilled straight up and garnished with a sliced peach and sprig of mint or thyme. You can also add a little fresh lemon when muddling.
For a more relaxed approach, make a large batch in a pitcher for serving over ice.
I plan to infuse the vodka directly with the tea bags next!
