NOTEWORTHY 9.3
1. I’ve been binge watching a lot of shows while working in the studio, and started You’re the Worst on Hulu Wednesday night. It’s a dark romantic comedy, and I find it HILARIOUS. The show Centers on two toxic, self-destructive people who fall in love and attempt a relationship. The characters are a self involved, and not always great at showing their emotions. I’m also loving the supporting cast. If you like this, you’ll probably like Difficult People, and Catastrophe too. Maybe I like mean humor.
2. In a fantastic attempt at urban renewal, the government of Mexico recently collaborated with a group of local street artists called Germen Crew to paint a 20,000 square meter mural across the facades of 209 homes in a low-income district in Pachuca, Mexico. Would love to see this! – via We the Urban + patternpulp
3. Currently reading Born Standing Up: A Comic’s Life . I’ve always been a big fan of Steve Martin, and so far his memoir has not disappointed.
4. 7 famous women who found success later in life. Can’t lie. It’s hard not to panic about what I’m doing with my life as I get older. Love this post from Besotted that inspires me to keep working away, and that it’s never too late!
5. Becoming Aerosolar, is an exploration into humanity’s environmental impact on the planet, and imagining more sustainable models for the future. Artist Tomas Saraceno created these ethereal, airborne “vehicles” from recycled plastic bags, which are heated by the sun, and then begin to float upwards. WHAT.
